We provided remedial services to this homeowner as part of a sudden release of fuel oil from their home heating oil aboveground storage tank. The release had migrated beneath the surface into a bedrock fracture impacting the neighbors potable well. Our services included tank closure, designing and executing soil remediation plan, geological site assessment and neighborhood potable well survey, POET system installations and ground water remediation included ground water pump and treatment system design, construction, installation and maintaining. The project was a cost share between the tank warranty program (soils only) and the homeowners insurance company (off-site soils and ground water) The soils remedial activities were completed within 2 weeks of the release and the ground water in the drinking water wells have reached compliance. A No Further Action recommendation is under review by the NJDEP.
