C.E.R.S provided soil remediation services to this homeowner as part of a leaking UST system noted at the time of a voluntary UST removal project. Contaminated soils were observed in the tank cavity. A tank warranty was in place for the underground storage tank system. On the same day as removal, C.E.R.S. proceeded to remediate the contaminated soils from the area of concern and stockpiled the soils on site. Once complete, C.E.R.S. performed the soil remedial investigation to document the success of the remedial activities. Neither ground water nor bedrock was encountered during the remedial activities and the final activities of the site day included backfilling the excavation to grade. The contaminated soils were later disposed and site was restored with topsoil and seed. A UST Closure and Remedial Action report for “No Further Action” recommendation was completed and approved by the NJDEP. The site time was two days and the NFA was received within six months of the release. We have completed numerous projects similar to this project’s size and complexity and continually provides this service described.
